Former Youth and Sports Minister, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has given the clearest indication that the Ghana Football Association will explode if he releases the casebook on them.
According to the Member of Parliament for the people of Odododiodio constituency, the perception about corruption is Ghana football is real and he has enough evidence to prove what he is saying.
“I didn’t have any personal vendetta against KwesiNyantakyi and so when I hear people say I was part of the people who made EOCO raid the FA offices some years ago I just laugh. Look, if there was a time I would have sent the EOCO after the GFA and its officials, it would have been after the 2016 elections,” Vanderpuye said on Football Legend Night on GH One TV.
“If we (the NDC) had won the 2016 elections, Ghana would be in frenzy by now. We would have seen the length of the frog by now. That is why when the NDC lost the election the GFA were popping champagne and dancing at their secretariat.
“The dossier I have on Ghana football, the corruption in our football, including the Ghana Premier League games and the bribery that is paid is unbelievable.
The former GBC worker further cautioned Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Darra whom he branded as a small boy to mind his utterances.
“Sannie is my small boy; I trained and taught him a little in broadcasting. I will tell him [Sannie] to think about his image and future as a young man.
“If you think that you can stand out there and ‘lick people’s boots’ all the time and try and malign and insults others because of what you are getting today, then it will not end well with you.
“One day, you will no longer be there (GFA) and you will meet the same people you have maligned and insult in the past,” he added.
