David Oscar Tours Munich: A City of Culture, Football, and Beer
Ghanaian musician David Oscar recently embarked on a tour of Munich, Germany, a city known for its rich culture, world-famous beer festival, and successful football club.
Oscar's itinerary included many of the city's most iconic landmarks, as well as some hidden gems for this episode of his ‘Travel Diaries’.
The Ghanaian reggae artiste began his day with a visit to Marienplatz, the central square of Munich.
He took in the sights and sounds of the bustling square, including the iconic Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall) and the Glockenspiel, a clock tower with moving figures that chime every day at 11am and 12pm.
From there, David Oscar headed to the nearby Munich Dome, a beautiful cathedral that is one of the most iconic landmarks in Munich.
Awestruck by the cathedral's soaring ceilings, stained glass windows, and impressive architecture, he took a walk through the historic city center, stopping to admire the many beautiful buildings and churches.
He also made a stop at Kalstor, a well-preserved medieval gate tower.
David explored the Maximilian Street, one of the most expensive streets in Europe as he browsed the high-end shops and boutiques, and stopped for a coffee at one of the many cafes.
As David Oscar drove past the Bayerischerhof Hotel, he couldn't help but think of. Michael Jackson, who stayed there in 1996.
After lunch, Oscar took a tour of the Allianz Arena, home of European football giants Bayern Munich.
He was particularly impressed by the size and scope of the stadium, as he drove past the edifice that hosts thousands of passionate Bayern Munich fans during match days.
To round off his day, David Oscar visited the Munich Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 1972 Summer Olympics.
David Oscar's tour of Munich was a whirlwind, but he managed to see some of the city's most iconic landmarks and experience some of its unique culture. He left Munich with a newfound appreciation for this vibrant and diverse city.
