ECKANKAR Ghana builds momentum for 50th anniversary with high-level courtesy visits

ECKANKAR Ghana has intensified preparations toward its 50th anniversary celebrations with a series of strategic engagements involving key traditional and government institutions across the country.

The spiritual organization, which has maintained a presence in Ghana for five decades, is set to mark its golden jubilee later this year while also preparing to host the highly anticipated 2026 African ECK Soul Adventure Seminar, a continental gathering expected to attract participants from several African countries and beyond.

As part of efforts to ensure a successful celebration, a high-powered delegation from ECKANKAR Ghana paid courtesy visits to the La Traditional Council, the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

The delegation was led by Mr. John Akabuo, Deputy Vahana Team and National Missionary Services Leader responsible for Publicity and Public Relations, alongside Mr. Peter Cephas Adjei, Regional Vahana Team and National Missionary Services Leader.

According to the leadership of ECKANKAR Ghana, the visits were intended to officially inform the institutions about the upcoming anniversary activities and seek their partnership and support for the landmark events.

The organization believes that collaboration with state agencies and traditional authorities will help promote cultural understanding, strengthen community participation, and enhance the overall impact of the celebrations.

Speaking after the engagements, Mr. Akabuo expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded the delegation by the various institutions.

“The response we received was very encouraging. We were pleased by the level of interest shown in our upcoming activities and the willingness of stakeholders to explore areas of collaboration,” he stated.

He emphasized that the 50th anniversary celebration is not only a milestone for ECKANKAR members but also an opportunity to foster unity, service, and spiritual growth within society.

“This is a moment to reflect on the values that have guided us over the years and to share those values with the wider community. We want the celebrations to inspire people and bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds,” he added.

The centerpiece of the anniversary activities will be the 2026 African ECK Soul Adventure Seminar, scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27 at the Temple of ECK Accra in Okponglo, East Legon.

Held under the theme, *“Living Your Spiritual Purpose,”* the seminar is expected to feature spiritual discussions, educational workshops, creative arts exhibitions, and interactive sessions aimed at helping participants deepen their understanding of life's spiritual dimensions.
Organizers say the event will also provide a platform for cultural exchange and meaningful dialogue among participants from different countries and traditions.

As part of its inclusive approach, ECKANKAR Ghana plans to extend invitations to religious bodies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to participate in the anniversary activities.

Leadership of the organization believes that promoting mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths remains essential to national development and social harmony.

With anticipation building ahead of the celebrations, ECKANKAR Ghana says it remains committed to delivering a memorable golden jubilee that reflects its legacy of spiritual service while positioning Ghana as a welcoming destination for visitors attending the continental seminar.
