Black Stars “B” head coach, Maxwell Konadu has called Asante Kotoko striker, Saddick Adams to work harder if he wants to earn Black Stars call-up.
The former Atletico Madrid youth player has been in the news for the good reasons after he bagged in a hat-trick against Hearts of Oak in this year’s MTN FA Cup finals that was staged at the Tamale Sports Stadium last week Sunday.
Ahead of Ghana’s last world cup qualifier against Egypt, many Ghanaian football enthusiasts called on Kwesi Appiah to include the rejuvenated striker to his squad but unfortunately, the former Berekum Chelsea goal poacher couldn’t get a call-up to the camp of the Black Stars.
However, Konadu who doubles as a second assistant coach to the Black Stars has called on the striker to work harder if he wants to break into the senior national team.
“He was voted the man of the match against Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA Cup finals. I think he did what was important in football and he won the match for the supporters of the club and also made sure that the Kotoko will win the cup.” He told Class Sports.
“For a player to score three goals against Hearts of Oak, you only need to congratulate him but I will urge him to work harder and make sure he does what is expected of him on the field and I know he will get a call up to the Black Stars.” He added.
