Deputy Minister of Communications, George Andah, has disclosed that government is on course as far as formalization of the Ghanaian economy with the aid of ICT is concerned.
According to him, this would not only improve the economy, but enable accountability from all sectors.
He was speaking in an interview monitored by Asempanews on CITIFM on Monday.
He said that government in ensuring that Ghanaians realize the essence of technology for economic development and added that this is in line with the Ghana beyond aid agenda, as set by the President Nana Akufo-Addo.
"The transformation of Ghana through digital interventions would sustain the economy and boost growth through creative ideas," he said.
He noted that the digital agenda is being championed by the Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia and the Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu.
He announced that Ghana would hold a tech conference in July which would bring technology experts from across the globe to discuss matters concerning technological interventions.
