Celebration of Ghana’s independence is a waste of the country’s resources – Gyampo

A senior lecturer at the University of Ghana, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, believes the continuous celebration of Ghana’s Independence Day is a waste of the country’s resources.

According to him, so long as the country continues to yield to the imposition of Western countries.

Gyampo, who made this known post via social media, believes that there is no way Ghana should agree to the imposition

“The continuous celebration of our independence is a useless wastage of our scarce public resources, so long as we keep yielding to the imposition of western nonsense that insults our sensibilities and disregards our societal values,” he said.

Ghana is 67 today and the Eastern Regional capital is hosting the parade for this year’s Independence day celebration.
