Last-minute dev’t is not taken seriously by people in Ashanti Region – Betty Mould-Iddrisu

Former Attorney General Betty Mould-Iddrisu has indicated that the people of the Ashanti Region are wide awake and will vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections.

According to her, the people have seen that the political party they have been voting for over the years has taken them for a ride.

Therefore, they intend to punish the party in the 2024 elections regardless of the last-minute development in the region.

To her, the people have realized the NPP only uses them for elections but does not focus on ensuring they get their fair share of development.

“I told you I live there sometimes. I was definitely there in 2020 so now the Ashantis are saying they want to take us for a ride again but this time we will not listen to them, bringing in articulators, land excavators, and Land graders to come and do roads. We even saw it at Kumawu and even in Assin North. I mean the Ashantis now know that this is their modus operandi.

They now know the NPP comes and blinker them so believe me what they are doing is not taken seriously at all and they believe they have suffered. I come from a small Kwabre village and was home last week. After the renaming of the Ameri plant, the dumsor that we have experienced in the region is unparalleled, and even during our time the dumsor wasn’t like that.”

She continued “We have a whole wave of youth and people who have lived through John Mahama and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and who are now going to make up their minds and they have seen the promises that were made. One village , One dam and others. I’m just saying that the people have seen for themselves”.
